Fantastic news for our Royal Fisheries Shop. We have now won the third round of the National Fish and Chip Shop of the Year 2009 competition which means we are Regional Champions. The area covers all of Yorkshire, Northumberland and Durham, so it's huge! We now join the other nine finalists in London in January for the grand final. A big THANK YOU to all our customers who voted for us and a fantastic effort from all the staff who have pulled together to produce such a great result, a real team effort. Nikki Hawkins, representative of Seafish, the Authority on Seafood, who organise the competition said ' The standard of entrants continues to increase each year and we are witnessing fish and chip shops paying an increasing amount of attention to sustainable sourcing as well as offering quality, value and choice.
